CD USAR Course

Hellos.Long time nv blog le. Sry I am too busy these days.I have a 3 days USAR(Urban Search And Rescue) Course from 24th to 26th June 09. This is a full day course from 8am to 5.30pm but i have to wake up at 5.30am as it takes very long to get there. Basically, it taught me on advanced civil defence equipments used to save people.

Below are some photos of my course.The first 2 photos show the furnace I went through. It is a practise for the firefighters to extinguish the fire.It is a controlled fire so be rest assured that your safety is taken care of.

VJC Science Fair cum Seminar Talk

Went to VJC for a science seminar. It was quite interesting.Students from different schools around Singapore such as Loyang, Hai Sing Catholic, PLMGSS, Springfield, Ngee Ann and many more come together and get short preview of a lecture from Prof Jackie Y. Ying and 3 schools (Hwa Chong, Anderson and Victoria JC) presenting what they had done during their A*star researching period.


One very very interesting fact that HCJC(Hwa Chong Junior College) has pointed out is that when maybe your mum cooks or boils chrysanthemum tea, it's better not to add any sugar and keep the temperature at around 75 to 85 degree celcius. This is because antioxidents (stuffs that prevent cancer) will be destroyed when mixed with sugar and antioxidents are the most abundant at the range of that temperature.

So next time when you drink chrysanthemum tea, drink it at between 75 to 85 degress celcius!!!Haha! xD

Anw,VJC is my dream JC.I wish to be victorians after passing out as bowenians.I hope together with my few friends to embark and be attached to a biology research lab soon.Sounds interesting ah.Overall, we learnt alot of interesting facts and I found this trip enriching and fruitful but after everything we are dead tired and took a cab home.

NCDCC day

We celebrated ncdcc day on the 14/04/09 but our true ncdcc day is on the 19th of april 09.Due to Sunday being a weekend and monday the exchange for ez-link card,we cannot have it on the two days mentioned.

Bio practical on that day itself.Quite ok.It's the test for food.I tested peanuts and cucumber for starch, proteins, fats and reducing sugars.Chih Chieh still haven chapter 17 yet.haha be patient.The day will surely come but I dun think there will be any practical for that chapter.

Make name tag with moyhong ytd

Yesterday go make name tag with moyhong at army market then proceed to my tuition.These are the things we bought there.Name tags plus chain to put on my bag.Over 20ppls order list asked by moyhong.He helped me collect the metal name tags today.I nv go but he will pass it to me by Monday.Hope can post these pictures on Monday or else other days becos now more and more tests.Recall the memorable past memories of secondary 2 life. 0_0 much relax ah......

Our Biology Practical again......

We did lab activities of testing of substances such as proteins,fats,starch,glucose and many more.We played in the lab,squirting water to our friends and making them wet.We also mixed all the different kinds of testing agents together and it forms funny,queer solutions.

For this solution,we mixed sodium hydroxide(NaOH),Benedict's solution,Ethanol(denatured),Copper(II) Sulphate and Iodine solution.See,it forms a blue emulsion.

These are the different solutions we 'made'.We collected some of our friends solutions too.The extreme right solution is made by chenhui.Cool right?

We kenna scolded by the lab assistant for playing in the lab and making them clean the mess.our teacher suggested to give us lab rules test that we studied be4 in secondary 1.At first,we thought that he was kidding but lateron did I find out that he is serious about that.

6th SNCO(Senior Non-Commissioned Officer) Course

Hello everyone,
how was your holidays?What u all spent your days on?
I spent my one whole week on my SNCO course from last Monday(16/03/2009) to last friday(21/03/2009).It was quite a tough course for everyone and it was held at hta(Home Team Academy) at old choa chu kang road.training starts from 7.45am to 9pm but I had to wake up at 5am as my house is far away from there and to avoid being late.The officers tekkan us alot and make us do about 100+ pumping per day.They had us run around the hta on the last day but I only manage to take 1 picture there.

Overall,I found that my holidays was a meaningful one spending my time training there instead of slacking at home and I am abit stronger now after the course.I felt a sense of accomplishment and achievement.The disadvantage is I have absolutely no time for school homework and project.This load and stacks of hmwk+project is driving me mad.I really hope to clear them all by this week.

Today our counciller tie change alr.I think is becos wan differentiate our tie from the rest.from what Mr Farid said,he wanted councillers to be distinct and I have no comments over it.I dun mind if we are the same loh.lolx xD

Moy Hong's bday

We celebrated moyhong's bday tgt today.thamil suggested to flagpole him but I think he ran away bah.Zhijian bought a veryvery long card,thinking that it will not be enough to contain everyone bday greetings......

3 Layers of small pieces of wood, a manual, sandpaper and glue...

We chose to bought tt present becos we knew he love dnt,love to make up his own workpiece.All in all,15 of us shared price to buy it for him.they are:jason,chihcheng,peter,shaun,zhengzhuang,zhijian,miaoyun,marissa,annabel,huixian,meryl,iffa and me.cost more than $50(cannot tell exact price) but as long as he like it,it's ok.

Hello everyone,
results are out.some did well while others did badly.Those who did well continue your good work and help others in need.Rmb those who help others excel is the real leader that everyone respects.those who done badly dun be discouraged as this is only the first common test that u are getting this year,there is still a long way for u to improve your results and if u dun mind,I can help u to the best of my abilty.

Today same as other school days,only that we did BIO PRACTICAL.haha thinking of chap 17 right?hehe no lah,not that sort,simple experiment only.I only take one picture of it in class,cos scared cher see ah.experiment mainly about how enzymes break down starch molecules into simpler substances.test it with iodine for the presence of starch.as u see,4 of it turned blue-black,while the other 2 does not.

I am back now.Sry for not posting for quite a long time.I have changed alot since then and not a study freak now.I am balancing my cca and studies.=)Gone through common test,abit stress ah.haix,so many subjects to study,everything getting harder also.Counted the number of tuitions,I have it for 6 subjects.saw a newspaper on "Tuition Craze" and I really agrree on it.



Just promoted to sgt.FInally! after so long!haha,the pic taken on the left is me with my no 4 uniform.shuai right?hehe.u noe wat!they tekkan us like siao on friday then promote on saturday siah.hentak for 5 minutes and after some marching hentak for 5 minutes again.1 wrong mistake run parade square.at least now I treasure my sgt rank much more after getting it through difficulty.

And I wann share on my hongkong trip last year on december.Basically,it was fun.

This roller coaster ride looks scary right?I sat for it u noe!! xDxD

This ride goes all the way up and descends at great speed.also sat for it.really scary ah this.cried for mummy half way through.haha.kidding lah,but honestly,I have been more courageous after my trip to hk.many thanks to my ncd ncos for encouraging me to to sit for all these rides and giving moral support.Without them,I dun think I will go for these rides.
